if this isn't fattening (and unhealthy!), i'd make this for dinner everyday. it's pasta with the creamiest white sauce i have ever made. i like this dish as a break from our usual veggie-fish diet, it feels nice to break (diet) rules from time to time too. if you're up to some naughtiness, here's the how to:
1. cook your pasta (anything you prefer) per package instruction.
2. brown some bacon bits and slivers of garlic in a skillet.
3. mix in a separate bowl, some grated cheese, creme fraiche or double cream, eggs, and season with salt and pepper.
4. throw your pasta on a pan with the browned bacon bits and garlic with about a tablespoon of butter.
5. over medium heat, stir pasta+bacon for about a minute.
6. reduce heat to low, and add cheese+cream+eggs into the pan. remove from heat after half a minute and continue stirring until they're all mixed together.
7. serve with garlic bread, or any of your favorite bread.
8. pour yourself a glass of pinotage. cheers!
